Cherrie Rankin and Aragon Wine Owner Charlotte Gordon

So, I get a call from our resident Publisher, Donna Siskind, telling me to “Get your digs on, we’re going to a wine tasting.” Well, as a noted wine connoisseur, I have spent my share of time at wine tastings. Never-the-less, I did what I was asked and went.

At first glance, it appeared to be much like other wine tastings until I met Charlotte Gordon, the Owner/Proprietor of Aragon. Charlotte is a delightful lady with an abundance of wine knowledge. As the suggestions came pouring out about which wines are new and exciting, I noticed she had this starry-eyed look of one that was describing their new baby. This girl really gets into her wine. And how great is that? Everyone knows that passion breeds success. Charlotte and her husband, Attorney Ben Gordon, have spent many years tasting and admiring the fine wines of the world.  They steer their vacations toward wine growing regions and they really know their stuff. Charlotte says, “It’s easy to find a $40 bottle of wine that tastes good; it’s my job to find a $10 bottle that tastes great.” With wine tastings every Thursday from 5-7, you to can have a chance to taste some new wines and every week hosts a different theme.
